Why It's Good For The Game
The golem ship had several issues. It was one big rectangular room with a single garish floor tile color, completely out of place wooden tables, two storage rooms that were too narrow to be practical for anything, and which had twice as much equipment as was necessary for even the base number of spawn shells. The new layout helps to give some structure to the building space while still giving golems the freedom to use it how they wish. The asymmetrical shape is intentional, giving the ship a certain amount of dynamism and a distinct silhouette.
The rock in the space ruin was moved because rocks are a unique area, and attempting to use the land claim to build out from that airlock just results in problems.
