creating a shared lib in MSVC

Hello
I have downloaded the new version of the library and see that it is not possible to create a shared library.
Looking at the cmake script i see that this is enforced.
Is there any reason for that ?

The CMakelists is only supposed to enforce that you cannot build static and shared libs in the same run, as that used to confuse VisualStudio (and probably still does).
However, when you choose to build a shared library, the build now produces a static library first, and then converts it to a shared one - this overcomes some limitations with symbol renaming
