This repository provides a Unity demo of the Behaviourally-based Synthesis of Scene-aware Footstep Sound, as presented in the related research paper. The demo illustrates how different behaviors and environmental factors influence footstep sounds. You can download the Unity project here:
The demo uses the Viking Village URP scene package from the Unity Asset Store:

The project is built using Unity Engine 2021.3.16f1c1 (URP).
- Open the scene file
The_Viking_Village.unity
in Unity (URP).
- Movement: W, A, S, D and mouse to control the character.
- Run: LeftShift
- Crawl: LeftControl
- Jump: Space
- High Jump (while crawling): LeftAlt
- Quit Game: Escape
- Display Material Name: LeftAlt (shows the material under the character's feet)
- Teleport Character: KeyPad 1-6 (transfers the character to different locations)
- Adjust Height: N, M (raises or lowers teleport points 5 and 6)
