How to install Motion 4.7?

Just the title.

I can't find ANY guide for installing anything but 4.5.1. When I try sudo apt-get install motion 4.7 I get approximately 1123 lines of dependency requirements as output.

Also sudo apt-get install motion=4.7

Reading package lists... Done

Package motion is not available, but is referred to by another package.

This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

A web search brings up links to the code, but no actual help.

And maybe I shouldn't install it. All I really want is for Motion to see an Arducam 8MP IMX219, but that seems entirely impossible in 4.5.1 due to kernel incompatibility.

Based on this comment both 4.5 and 4.7 should work though libcamera or libcamerify:

Well, I've been through about 70 pages telling me how to do that in theory, and none of them have worked.

I'm installing the arm64 that I downloaded. Am I installing the wrong thing?

Yes, you used the wrong deb. This is the correct:
bookworm_motion_4.7.0-1_arm64.deb

Somehow, in searching on how to do the install once I had the right .deb, I tried
dpkg -i and that installed the whole thing, much to my surprise.

And now, I'm stuck inside Motion 5 after doing libcamerify motion with no found cameras.

But I'll call this issue closed and see if I can get some help with the camera in another thread.
