NanoFrost

NanoFrost is an old atmos tool and was the precursor to ATMOS resin. It's a smoke that converts all plasma in the air into nitrogen, cools the air down (to around -20 C), extinguishes any fires, and freezes vents shut. Nanofrost smoke grenades can be found in Atmos lockers aswell as be bought from EngiVend vendors.

Station Modsuit Changes

  • Upgraded the cell of pre-equipped modsuits from a high capacity cell to a super capacity cell
  • Engineering and Atmos modsuits are equipped with tether modules.
  • Replaced t-ray module of Atmos modsuits with magboots.
  • Replaced the Security modsuit mirage dispenser module with a basic jetpack module.

Firefighting Foam Adjustment

  • New stabilized plasma sprite.
  • Changed the reagent colour of stabilized plasma.
  • Plasma doesn't have to be on fire to be stabilized by firefighting foam.
  • There has to be plasma for firefighting foam to leave behind stabilized plasma.
  • Fixed a bug where the plasma stabilized by firefighting foam wouldn't be added to the stabilized plasma puddle.

Space Gear Adjustment

  • Magboots draw over suits.
  • Jetpacks and tanks draw a bit higher so it's more evident if someone is wearing a jetpack.
  • Replaced the water backpack tank in Atmos suit storage units with magboots.
  • Removed the slowdown of Syndicate space suits.
  • Removed the slowdown of Syndicate magboots, effectively are now advanced magboots.
  • Repathed and adjusted some jetpacks. ERT, Syndicate, and Engineering space suits can hold oxygen jetpacks in their suit storage. Syndicate and ERT can hold jetpack harnesses in their suit storage. Engineering space suits can also now hold carbodioxide jetpacks in their suit storage.
  • Jetpacks can be EMPed to cut our their thrusters for 4 seconds. There are exceptions.
  • Added 4 oxygen jetpacks to secure storage on all maps. (Except Kilo, it's just sitting next to the suit storage units).
  • Added the jetpack harness to the traitor uplink as a 1 TC purchase.
  • Added the Syndicate magboots to the traitor uplink as a 1 TC purchase.
  • The Syndicate space suit kit now always has a red space suit. Also added an oxygen jetpack to the kit.
  • Changed the Syndicate space suit replica to red so it matches.
  • Fixed a spiriting issue on old style space helmets.
  • Adjusted the inventory flags of space helmets so they generally look better while wearing glasses underneath.

Utility Clothing Audit

  • Radiation suits have a 0.5 slowdown (down from 1.5).
  • Firesuits have a 0.5 slowdown (down from 1).
  • Galoshes have a 0.5 slowdown (down from 1).
  • Biosuits (and other bio protecting clothing if protective enough) prevent slimes from latching onto you.

Why It's Good For The Game

NanoFrost is a more effective tool for Engineering to clear out plasma fires which are notorious for being slow to fix.

Gave Atmos magboots cus dealing with slippery surfaces (either from cold or water vapour) and breaches is part of their job.

The old stabalized plasma sprite was just the spilt flour texture tinted black and made it horrendous to work on a tile covered by it.

Syndicate magboots in the uplink. Cheap less stealthy no-slips in a nutshell. No-slips are 2 TC for reference.
Jetpack harness in the uplink. Cheap utility item that's more stealthy than jetpacks.

Syndicate space suit being red. Consistency is good and I want to do something with the other variants in a future project.

Station modsuits tend to run out fairly quickly so I thought they could use a better cell from the get-go.

Tether modules are neat and Engineering could use them to perform EVA work on the station easier.

Jetpack EMP effect, it has electronics so makes sense.

Oxygen jetpacks in secure storage. For when there is a big EVA project that the CE wants done like building a singularity engine or expanding the station. Or the engine just failed and gravity is gone making repairs difficult.

Syndicate space suits are rarely used from what I see and removing the slowdown makes them more useful in combat. It can also now be used as easy armor for traitors since that's a problem I have heard people complain about. The oxygen jetpack is still fairly bulky to carry around and is more of a cherry on-top to the space suit kit.

Utility suit slowdown changes. More QoL than anything.

Galoshes not slowing you down as much as a space suit. Let them have this atleast, the janitor's job is sisyphean.

So what's the point of xenobio having biosuits if they don't do anything to protect against the slimes.

I like everything but removing atmos foam... Both, both is good.

I like everything but removing atmos foam... Both, both is good.

No ATMOS resin exists still, I didn't remove it :p

May resin foam module be added to roundstart atmos mod? You're removing the foam backpack anyways
