PACO's really need to be powerful in one way or another for latejoin secoffs to be prepared for the station being in shambles by the time they get there. Plus they've been so unfathomably shit for a long time, I personally don't want to see them getting nerfed (especially on our server, where we'd rather make things more powerful than crushing it into obscurity anyway). |
this doesnt make latejoin seccies in anyway weaker, the mags can fit in their bag easily and they will be able to use it, what this does is make it so you cant fit 14 mags in your bag by placing them all into boxes and having effectively infinite ammo compared to disablers |
only thing i would say to change is buffing nonlethals for the paco back to 45 with this PR, should be better since seccies cant carry an incredibly large amount without sacrificing alot of inventory space |
Changelog could be made clearer, right now it doesn't actually convey what was changed other than "We changed the paco mag" |

## About The Pull Request ### Reverts: #4663 made paco mags small again, in exchange i made paco lethals harder to get by locking lethal paco ammo behind a higher tier of sec research and behind the armoury in cargo. increased paco and wt rubbershot stamina damage from 35 to 50. wt saltshot got buffed from 35 to 40. Added another Paco to the Paco weapon crate to match the ammo crate changes ## Why It's Good For The Game if the issue the reverted PR was trying to fix was sec being overloaded with paco lethals why not just make said lethals harder to get. my reasoning for the stamina damage increases so paco's are more of a sidegrade to disablers. wt ammo stamina buffs are so they are on par with disabler beams. quick comparison: Disabler - 20 shots total - no recoil - 5 shots to stam crit - can shoot through windows - rechargeable - applies debilitated stacks which causes the target to drain more stamina whenever they take additional stamina damage Paco with Rubbershot - 16 shots total - recoil - 5 shots to stam crit - can't shoot through windows - non-rechargeable/cannot be EMPed - might get sued by lawyers for bruises caused by using rubbershot im pretty sure no other magazine is normal sized either. ## Changelog :cl: balance: Paco mags are small again. balance: locked lethal Paco ammo behind the "Advanced Weaponry" tech node. balance: split Paco ammo between non-lethal ammo as a security order and lethal ammo as an armoury locked order. added another Paco to the Paco weapon crate. /:cl: --------- Co-authored-by: SirNightKnight <=>
About The Pull Request
Enough of John shitsec having two ammo box, plus countainer box with 6 ammo magazine in each, now they'll have to fight fairly.
Why It's Good For The Game
Security as of now has been too advanced on the arms race, they can buy stuff and often find itself powergaming, this will avoid them from being a roundstart powerhouse in some way.
