Allow the use of Python 3.12.
Switching to Ubuntu 24 because its the latest supported LTS, and there is no python3.12 on older versions.

Thanks for trying to bring that forward, but I guess more work would be required to enable Ubuntu 24.

Ah no worries - what was the failure with Ubuntu 24?

EDIT: found it, all good
