Connecting a personal bank account to Expensify allows you to get reimbursed for company expenses and receive peer-to-peer payments directly into your Expensify Wallet.

**To connect a personal bank account:**
1. Click your profile image or icon in the bottom left menu.
2. Click **Wallet**.
3. Click **Add Bank Account**.
You can add a personal bank account to receive reimbursements in 190+ countries worldwide. All accounts are added in Settings > Wallet > Bank accounts. The steps vary depending on the country selected.

# Add a US-based bank account

To add a US bank account, we use **Plaid**, an encrypted third-party financial data platform that securely verifies your banking information.

**To connect a US bank account:**
1. Go to Settings > Wallet > Bank accounts.
2. Select **Add bank account**.
3. When prompted, select **United States** as your country.
4. Complete the Plaid connection flow by choosing your bank and entering your credentials.
5. Once connected, you’ll see your account in the **Bank accounts** section.

# Add a non-US bank account

You can add a non-US deposit account by manually entering the account details. The steps vary depending on your country and selected currency.

**To connect a non-US bank account:**
1. Go to Settings > Wallet > Bank accounts.
2. Select **Add bank account**.
3. Select your country from the list.
4. Verify your selected **Currency** is correct (defaults to local currency). You can change it if needed.
5. Enter your **bank account details**. Fields vary but often include:
- Account number
- Routing/Swift code
- Optional fields will be marked as “(Optional)”
6. Choose your **Account type** (e.g., Current or Savings), if required.
7. Enter your **bank information**, including bank name and address.
8. Enter your **account holder information**, including your name and residential address.
- Some fields may be auto-filled from your profile.
9. Review all details on the **Confirmation** screen.
- Tap any field to make edits.
- Accept the Terms of Service and click **Confirm**.
10. Once added, you’ll see your account in the **Bank accounts** section.

## Can I add more than one personal bank account?

Yes. You can add multiple accounts, but only one can be selected as the default for reimbursements.

## Can I delete a bank account?

Yes. Use the three-dot overflow menu beside any account to delete it.

No. Expensify does not charge you to add or use a personal account. It’s included in your Expensify subscription.

6. Once those details are added, you'll be prompted to return to Expensify to complete linking the bank account.
7. Choose which account you want to connect to Expensify.
8. Click **Save & continue**.
## Are there countries where personal bank accounts aren’t supported?

Yes. Expensify supports personal bank accounts from 190+ countries, but there’s a small number not supported. The full list of supported countries is available when adding a personal bank account.

Once connected, all payments and reimbursements will be deposited directly into that bank account.
