Detailed Description

I know creating Nextion interfaces can be a pain and a half. To avoid modifying the interface, I was thinking that it might be possible to pull the current track and artist into separate entity state locations and show them on the home screen. So instead of pulling the "state", it would pull the track, artist, or source. The user could determine the layout this way.

As a band-aid fix, I created a template sensor that pulls the media artist and track. I then used that as the entity to show on the display. This is not a scalable alternative, but it does work.
