Encounted that I can not apply manual content area to the following pages, if they already have manual content area.
If I want to apply a different content area from some page to all following pages, only 4-5 pages following the source page are changed at first, and then - only one page is changed.
The program is very nice as it works much faster due to multicore usage, but this bug made me switch back to ScanTailor Featured, which is working OK.
Its a pitty. Could you please look into it?

No project file or examples needed, I seem to have understood your problem.

You've just forgot to check the "Apply content box" checkbox in the dialog.

This is a feature: when "Apply content box" checkbox is checked, STA applies content box to all the pages in the scope, when not, the pages that already have the content box won't be affected, only their mode will be switched.

ermylistru, please read my previous message, you've missed that. I've highlighted what you should do with bold, you needn't to use Featured version anymore.

Sorry, it was my miss. :)
I've remember that issue, that I've found myself and fixed a month ago.

The issue is that if we have a large page with the large content box which is followed by a small page, the content box will be trimmed even for the other pages following that small page.

The fix has been available in version since 1.07.

Да баг это, все, я вспомнил. Если за большой страницей с большой областью контента следует маленькая страница, то при применении область контента обрежется для всех страниц, следующих за этой маленькой страницей, что, естественно, ошибка.
Обрезаться область контента должна была только для маленьких страниц, во всех версиях СТ на таких страницах она просто вылазила за пределы, что тоже баг.

Я эту проблему сам нашел месяц назад и профиксил тогда же.
Галку я сделаю включенной по умолчанию.

Нашел я фикс, оказывается, это было 27 ноября, то есть в версии 1.08 этого бага уже нет.
В какой версии вы столкнулись с этим багом?

Отключите обе галочки сглаживания и используйте адаптивные алгоритмы бинаризации. В версии 1.08 переключение на адаптивные алгоритмы сломано, т. е. при переключении будет юзаться неадаптивный оцу, в 1.05 работает, тестируйте выход на ней.

Это из-за сглаживания, в СК оно выключено по умолчанию, в других версиях СТ включено и не отключаемо, в СТА же всем можно управлять. Я, например, на хороших сканах юзаю собственные экшены фотошопа (есть на руборде) для сглаживания букв, выключая его в СТ, на плохих сглаживание в СТ.

ermylistru, а куда вы скинули то? На гитхаб нельзя скинуть, если вы приаттачили проект к письму - то он просто пропал, ибо гитхаб показывает только текст, остальное игнорирует. У меня нигде нет ни вашего проекта, ни картинок.

Мне нужны хотя бы картинки, чтоб самому попытаться повторить.

Reworked the auto margins and page box features from version Enhanced.

Selection content stage changes:
1. A page box implementation reworked. Now it's interactive and can be adjusted by the same way as a content box is done.
2. The page rectangle does not require refreshing page and won't be reset on the content area changes.
3. The page rectangle is now drawn in the thumbnails.
4. Implemented the new feature of applying the page box set manually to the other pages. For pages of a different size ST automatically corrects page box place. The same change has been made to applying the content box feature.

Page layout stage changes:
1. Auto margins option has been moved out of alignment settings and does no more force to use only the original layout.
2. Auto margins feature now considers page box changes on the 4th stage.
3. Corresponding bug fixes.

Owing to the changes above, there appeared a new way to set margins for books and documents, pages of which have similar formatting. At content selection stage we just set page box and content box to a page, applying those content and page boxes to the pages with similar formatting, use auto margins for those pages at page layout stage instead of adjusting the margins relative to the content box, and then go to the output.
