Bumping this. I am experiencing the same thing. And I have already set up everything I could on the server to ensure that this is not an issue of rate limiting. There is definitely an issue in the mobile app. |
Any updates on this? Or perhaps a way we could collect data needed. Experiencing this nearly all the time. Makes the app useless. |
Thanks @bkraul @vatsalkeshav for the reports. Please try out our spiffy new mobile app for Zulip, which is currently in beta and we plan to roll out for everyone in a few weeks: Whatever issue is involved in the symptoms you're each seeing, I'm hopeful will just not be present in the new app. If you do see these symptoms there or any other issue, please report those (see details in that post), and we'll look into fixing them. Because the new app's launch is approaching, the existing app (the one in this repo) is in maintenance mode: |
@gnprice Installed the new Beta one, and it seems that there are still some issues in regards to message status (see below image)...but, the good news is that even if it says "not sent" it actually does get sent, so that's a bit better. I suppose we could start reporting on the new one? I am going to guess it is a new repo? or is it the same, just new branch? |
I think I found the correct repo. Posted here. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
The zulip app version 27.233 released for android on playstore takes very long time to load new messages even though the notification for the message has occurred.

PS - sometimes clearing cache and then reinstalling works
