parent_id seems not to be filled

HI,
when I "push again" a failed job, I think that then the parent_id should be filled in, right?

Or am I mistaken on what this attribute does?

And besides this, will it be tracked on the failed job that it now has run correctly via a re-push?
Otherwise it will be difficult to check which jobs have never been run successfully.
