When a low level refresh rate is activated which is also present in the mode list but is not the active canonical mode, the refresh rate menu (no option is listed as selected) and configuration protection updater (wrong refresh rate is remembered) might get confused.

On mismatching but canonical-matching mode the canonical mode item is selected but a waveform with an exclamation mark is shown as icon.
