The ambient light sensor might interfere with XDR upscaling in a dark environment. Most users don't use XDR upscaling in dark environments, but to others this might be distracting. Even though auto brightness can be turned off manually, it would be nice to have an option to auto turn off auto brightness when the brightness is in the upscale range and then turn it back on when it's not.

I would really like exactly this. When I use XDR upscaling I also want to use auto-brightness but I want it to be integrated seamlessly with the XDR upscaling so when I open auto-brightness it shouldn't just set the brightness to 100% immediately when it detects any motion on the auto-brightness sensor and shouldn't ignore the XDR upscaling.
