Do layout randomSeed work properly?

Whenever a graph is rendered, the layout is always random. I've tried setting the randomSeed to a specific value like:

layout: {randomSeed: 42}

in the options, but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Even when the data is the same (nodes, edges) and should not trigger a different layout, the layout is always random and some nodes/clusters appear in different positions whenever a page is reloaded. What is worse, setting randomSeed sometimes makes the network appears off screen and i have to zoom out to find it.

Do the layout randomSeed work properly or...?
