When you hold a shield and look up, the shield model moves with the camera and ends up covering up most of the screen. This makes it difficult to see or interact with the environment from above while blocking.
Is it possible to have the shield maintain a fixed position relative to the player model or be limited in how much it follows the camera angle to prevent over-sharpening of the view?

unfortunately, this is just mojang's terrible animation choice. if you want, you can enable vanilla hands with dynamic mode on, that will make your view when looking up the same as vanilla
