Hello,
I would be happy if there was an option to insert images in the background. It doesn't matter whether it's sized to fit the canvis or not. If possible, it would also be helpful if you could insert general images.
I looked at the code and found parts that pointed to something in that direction, but I couldn't get it to work on my own.
thanks in advance

I am also awaiting feedback, the entire world actually. This plugin with the option to add and manipulate the image will be crucial for the acceptance of implementation here at the company. In other words, we have not officially implemented NETBOX in the company yet due to this update.
It should be reasonably straight forward to do this, it'd just have it fixed to the bounds of the floorplan itself. Feel free to open a PR or contact me [email protected] to discuss
We use currently OpenDCIM , but looking into migration scenario's.
A typical site, with a floorplan. The background image is an imported plan/drawing. The racks have an overlay, created within the application, clickable and link to the rack or row views, which is a really convenient way of navigating.
Rack colors change dynamically. Hovering over a rack shows tooltips with rack details.
How this works is explained in more detail in https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=8p-tFL9tJxw
