Is it possible to use uv for faster package installation when deploying a Python app?

Thanks.

Hi @alexkychen , thank you for reaching out!

Sorry, at the moment pip is the default package manager when deploying from Publisher, here is an existing issue suggesting to have an option to allow deployments to pick uv to install packages.

We don't have plans to add this in the near term but contributions and comments like yours allows us to identify priorities.

Although there are references to using uv for package installation in older issues, I'll keep this issue open since its intent is more specific.
