I switched to a new laptop, which of course didn't have Minikube installed. I installed the extension, and was confused because Minikube doesn't show up in Settings > Resources, or the 'Kubernetes empty page'. I double checked the extension was installed and started ok, checked the logs, and even restarted Podman Desktop. Still no Minikube visible in the UI.
Eventually I went to the CLI page, installed Minikube, and everything was appeared. This wasn't obvious though, and I never saw the warning that used to be in the statusbar.
I saw there is an issue for doing full onboarding, but even without onboarding I think it would be much better usability and initial experience if Minikube appeared in all the normal places by default, even if that means there is an error ('hey, go install the cli!') when you try to use it.

I know. We're trying not to use the status bar as much because it tends to get cluttered (and could still be missed), the biggest thing for me is that I expected it to be in Settings > Resources and it wasn't there. IMHO it's better to always be there, and if you try to use it you're told to install the CLI first.
