After my Copilot subscription ended, I was unable to use neovim to edit files until removing the plugin altogether. The Copilot pop-up would allow me to view settings or dismiss, but even after dismissing, the second I went to insert mode it would come back and not allow me to edit any files. I just installed vim separately and was able to remove the plugin, but I don't think this should be the standard behavior. If someone's subscription ends, they should still be able to use their editor normally, just without the copilot features.
