Formatting shortcut issue with v0.8.5

When using the shortcut "alt+shift+f" on vscode ruby rubocop version 0.8.5, there is an error message saying: "an error occurred during autocorrect rubocop"

downgrading to 0.8.4 seemed to fix the issue for now.

I get an error that might be similar:

Extension 'ruby-rubocop' cannot format _path_to_file_

The message in the middle of the bottom line in vscode and disapperrs after a few seconds.
If this is not the same root problem, I am happy to create a new issue
