Testing #208198

image

Platform: Windows

Repro steps:

  1. Open large markdown preview, Open large file in Hex editor (not sure which one triggered this).
  2. Pull markdown preview and hex editor out into separate window
  3. Restart VS Code

This looks like it might be markdown preview that is causing this:

@karthiknadig I think @deepak1556 would be very grateful for a consistent repro 👋

Yes a consistent repro would be awesome! I couldn't repro with the steps listed above. @karthiknadig did you have a pending application update during restart ? How was the restart action triggered ?

No. I just did a manual close to see if the windows are restored when I start VS Code again.

I am suspecting if there is a large md file it might cause this. Unsure, will try this a few times again and see if there is any pattern.

This is the markdown file used: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-python/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md
