Microsoft PowerToys version

0.19.1

Running as admin

  • Yes

Area(s) with issue?

General, Image Resizer, Keyboard Manager, PowerRename, PowerToys Run, Shortcut Guide, SVG Preview, Settings

Steps to reproduce

We have strict application requirements and need to virtualize and deploy PowerToys with the FancyZones functionality. As we have users only requesting FancyZones and no other modules.

So far FancyZones works as expected but is there a way to remove the other modules from the application gui without breaking the application? If so, what is the process for removing the modules or hiding the modules that users will not need? I have attempted removing all seen references of the other modules in the registry, user appdata, and installation directory but they are still there so it must be calling them from somewhere.

Another issue is we are able to disable automatic updates but not the update notification that triggers at specific times. We did try setting the time in the future and the past with the same result.

✔️ Expected Behavior

When launching power toys users will only see the needed and enabled modules. With automatic updates disabled Power Toys will not notify of updates.

❌ Actual Behavior

When launching power toys all modules show even if they are disabled. With automatic updates disabled Power Toys notifies the user of updates.
