High Availability (HA) for external-dns

Hi,

I'd like to find out whether or not externl-dns can be scaled to more than 1 replica for HA without issues (i.e. conflicts etc..)?

I've been trying to look for docs based on this, but currently I have not been successful in doing so. But i did come across an issue asking for Leader Elect, but nothing came out of it #164 . Will this be revisited again?

Otherwise what happens if there is more than one replica running of this, is it safe to do so, or will there be issues when DNS records are created?
