We need to explore potential ways to integrate our extension with Continue, assessing whether we can enhance the user experience by leveraging its AI-driven capabilities. This investigation should cover:

  • Custom Prompting: Can we send custom prompts to Continue? If so, what format does it support, and how can we structure our interactions to be most effective?
  • Diagnostics Enhancement: Can we improve our use of vscode.diagnostics to provide better, more structured feedback that Continue can leverage for improved results?
  • User Experience: Are there integration points that could lead to a better overall user experience, such as surfacing relevant AI-driven suggestions in context?
  • AI Agent Work: Is the AI Agent work currently being developed planned for inclusion in Continue, and if so, can we leverage it for our use case?

Tasks:

  • Research Continue’s capabilities for receiving custom prompts and determine how we might integrate with them.
  • Evaluate our current diagnostic output and explore whether structured improvements would enhance AI-driven results.
  • Identify possible UX improvements based on Continue’s AI-assisted workflows.
  • Investigate the AI Agent roadmap for Continue and assess potential alignment with our goals.
  • Summarize findings and propose actionable next steps for deeper integration.

@rszwajko did a lot of work here, https://github.com/rszwajko/konveyor-poc before our extension could perform an analysis or get a solution.
