@vinkovsky Hi! Thanks for reaching out and checking!! Indeed, I apologize for the lack of updates in the past while! I have been working on Typescript migration, but there are many internal users to migrate, so it's taking longer than expected.. Yet I still hope I can get it done by the end of the year! WRT release, Yes i should make one soon! There is one blocking issue: #1449, but I'll try to fix it and make a release in the upcoming week or 2! (Typescript cannot be part of it since i'm still working on it.) |
Hello @sampajano! Thanks for your response and hard work on this awesome library. I'll wait for updates! |
Quick update: I'm caught up with some high priority issues.. Will aim to get to this in another 1-2 weeks.. :) Update (11/08/24): I apologize that I'm again caught up in some assignments & thanksgiving vacation which makes me unable to work on it for another ~2-3 weeks. I'll aim to get back to this as soon as i can. |
Looking fwd to a new release as well ;-) the library has been working well so far, great work! |
Looking fwd to a new release as well. |
Happy new year! :) @antisnatchor-psi @kobofare I'm back from year-end vacations. I will make time to work on this soon! Update (2025/2/25): We're getting new help on this project, so new release definitely coming soon! Will post update in the upcoming ~2 weeks! |

It would be very helpful to have some insights about the future of the project, weather it's suitable to consider it when building green fields; we can consider gRPC as the primary communication layer instead of REST. I couldn't find any data regarding how many people on Frontend that focus on browser are using gRPC-Web, what are the challenges and where we are standing in terms of complexity of this solution. |
@xsoheilalizadeh check this project https://connectrpc.com/docs/introduction |
@sampajano any news about this? Anyway I can help? |
@sheinbergon Thank you for checking.. and offering help 😊 Right now the blocker is this one.. Our protoc-plugin container is broken since upgrading to 27.1, and i've yet to find time to fix it.. (this is the cause) We've recently got some help to try fixing it, but it might take a little bit more time (since the person is new). I also intend to take a look whenever i get a chance, and i'm spending some time this week too. But if you can help identify the issue and help fix it, it would be most appreciated too.. 😊 Thanks!! |
I am curious for any updates on the state of this project. |
Hihi~ Thanks for checking.. We're currently working on onboarding some new team members to help manage this project, and the process is ongoing. We will unblock the above mentioned issue as soon as we can and provide a new release afterwards. Apologize for the delay and thanks for the patience :) |
The last release came out about a year ago, and now I'm wondering about the future of this library. How well is it supported by developers at the current time? And will there be a new release in the near future with the promised refactoring for typescript and first-class api for frameworks such as angular?
