I was about to open this Issue - Feature Request but then I thought: That can't be. Nobody has ever had a problem with this? Wasn't there some obscure setting that I saw somewhere?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Initially when my PC starts it isn't connected to the internet. Devices like smart switches need log-ins to work. I get the error message:

evcc[2767]: [main  ] FATAL 2025/04/13 07:35:05 will attempt restart in: 15m0s

If evcc can't log in, it won't start for a (in my opinion) long time.
More importantly: Relatively unimportant things like smart switches shouldn't be fatal things. It really shouldn't be the case that if my internet connection/the service provider fails that I can't charge my car/turn on the house heating.

Describe the solution you'd like

1. Option (either in the YAML or via the GUI -> DB) to set the delay time on restarts if the system fails. (I would set it to two minutes - but see no problem with smaller values)

2. Option to make it non-fatal if certain devices fail to connect/start

3. Make evcc only start when an internet connection exists

Describe alternatives you've considered
Make my PC start with an internet connection. Doable.
Shouldn't be an issue once I move evcc to a low power PC that can run 24/7.
