Description

I have issues with the magic search functionality on my android phone and desktop app.
Here is the deal:
After initial indexing on my android phone I can see a card called "Food" in the Discover section.
This card leads to a subset of 36 photos and 1 video. The photos correctly identify food and the video doesn't, but it's okay.

The issue is: when I try to search for "food" or "Food" on my phone I only get a subset of 21 photos.

If I do the same search on my windows desktop app, I get only 19 photos as a result.

If I search for "sweet food", some of the missing food photos show up in the results.

I expect 2 things:

  • The same photos are shown for the same query on both Android and Windows app
  • I would really like magic search to show me all food photos, since it already successfuly identified them for the Discover section.

Is there some sort of a "probablity score cutoff" for image recognition which prevents certain food items from showing up?

I have also tried to find a way to redo the indexing, but didn't find how to do it. Is there a way?

This is an amazing feature, I'd really love for it to work well and consistent.

Consider upvoting #4373 :)
As per the devs, it seems to be due to usage of different libraries across platforms for magic search.
