Need Internet connexion?

Hello,

I’ve noticed that igir doesn’t work when I’m offline.
Could you please explain why an Internet connection is required?
Also, would it be possible to suggest an improvement to allow offline usage?

You’re right — after further testing, igir does work without an Internet connection.
However, it’s significantly slower: the terminal hangs for quite a while before anything happens, and then the process finally starts.

So it’s not a bug, but the responsiveness could definitely be improved.
Would it be possible to look into reducing this startup delay when offline (creating a ticket)?
