Statement: At 23/03/25, I was banned from the server at around 11:00pm GMT, without a reason why. Who I believe was to ban me is @Qjuh, and I feel like this staff has inappropriately moderated me. A minor issue, which was where I tried validating with another user about a topic in the general chat and doing this escalated into a ban.
Full Description: When I was asking questions of how someone found a solution in #djs-help-v14, trying to use this to clarify and make me learn from it. I noticed something in the channel where I deleted an accidental message I sent and saw another user reacted by editting their message almost instantly as I deleted it. This created a new conversation in #general, and talking to @sir.jo, I was curious and asked him whether they were using a msg logger. During this conversation, @Qjuh and @lilith_nosya joined the conversation, and we were discussing about it. As I sent a message, @Qjuh sent a message right before and instant asking me to end this conversation, however, because I sent this message after he sent their message, in which I didn't read the message fast enough and didn't have the chance to reply to them stating acknowledging they asked me to stop. @Qjuh I believe had timed me out for an hour and that's when I dmed him just trying to explain to him and figure out what the problem was and why this has caused a moderation action. Doing this it resulted in an extended timeout of 12 hours, and when I tried to ask for further clarification he had banned me immediately after the extended timeout.

After reviewing the case, we have decided to not grant the appeal for this case.

A short timeout (1h) does not have any lasting effect on your account and is appropriate for even a minor issue, you can just calm down and join back into the conversation after it runs out.
Escalation of action on DM harassment is also not unwarranted.
