you likely need to use FW for HW1 |

I wired for hw2 it's 10 wires. Like I said it was working perfectly until I updated. |

4 wires to each controllers data pins. 4 wires from each controllers 3.3v pins for high low detection as per hw2 details, 1 wire from 3.3v to power the esp32, 1 wire for ground. Also a bridge between 3.3v on the esp32 to vin. I used the wiring attached in the picture except added the 4 wires for port detection. I'm not home to take a picture but the one attached is prior to adding the 4 wires for port detection. I hadn't realized at the time that it was needed but added them. I'll post a picture when I get home of the finished product. |

I have a spare unit I'm gonna try flashing it and swapping the wiring to that one. I toned out the wires and I'm not finding any shorts and everything looks good but it's possible this esp32 maybe failed. I'll report back and we'll see what happens. |

Just to update I finally got around to adding a new module with hw2 installed and it's working so I guess that first one went bad or had a botched update who knows but a replacement did the trick. |

Nevermind tested with a game cart and it does the same thing. Removed the game cart and it stays connected when powered on so it seems like when a game cart is inserted and powered on it will connect them disconnect immediately. Without the cart it stays connected strange. |

Not sure where you got the idea to wired things like this but it won't work. You basicly just hard wired the detection pin to be always on. Just use HW1 FW. |

When connecting it esp32 will show normal lights. Turn on the controller and it connects and vibrates then turns off immediately after. Tried firmware 24.10 and 24.40. tried resetting and putting controller in pair mode. It was working briefly then updated ota from 24.10 to 24.4 and stopped working. Went back to 24.10 and same issue. Added the debug but not sure that helps.
