When selecting "Custom Date Range" nothing happens and this confuses users

We've seen that users try clicking "Custom Date Range" and nothing happens. You actually have to select a date range, so that the "Custom Date Range" button gets selected.

It would be great if we could hide the calendar for pre-determined date ranges (last month, last week, etc.), and open the calendar when "Custom Range" is clicked so that users don't get confused with this interaction.
