Description

We are currently unable to Authorize a Ledger hardware wallet connection to complete a transaction

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a transaction with your Ledger account
  2. Click Confirm for the transaction
  3. The Disconnected hardware wallet panel is displayed and does not let you Authorize to connect.

Actual result:

Console error

"Uncaught (in promise) TransportOpenUserCancelled: Access denied to use Ledger device", source: chrome-untrusted://ledger-bridge/?targetUrl=chrome%3A%2F%2Fwallet-panel.top-chrome&coinType=60 (0)

Expected result:

Should be able to Connect your Ledger to complete a transaction

Reproduces how often:

Brave version (brave://version info)

Version/Channel Information:

  • Can you reproduce this issue with the current release? Yes
  • Can you reproduce this issue with the beta channel? Yes
  • Can you reproduce this issue with the nightly channel? Yes

Other Additional Information:

  • Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields?
  • Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Rewards?
  • Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome?

The above requires 1.59.120 or higher for 1.59.x verification 👍
