Actually, copying the rendered table works, because pasting tables works. This takes some of the urgency out of this, but it would still be nice if there was nice experience for this, especially saving the query in a comment. |

I would sometimes like to 'freeze' the results of a query, to document the state at that time, or simply because it's easier to write a query that doesn't parse the name of the file it's in as a date and whatever else. It seems silly to me that it's actually weirdly tricky to copy the result of a query as plain text. It can be done using the debugging console to copy the generated HTML and paste that into the markdown text, but it's a yucky procedure and gives me some pretty yucky HTML as a result.
As a bonus, it would be nice to save the query in a comment, so it could be resurrected if necessary.
