Grouped Checkboxes are getting displayed as radio buttons

I have some set of checkboxes of which some are grouped (meaning name is same for all and hence only one of the checkbox can be selected at a time) and some are autonomous (meaning having different name and hence can be selected all together).
The autonomous checkboxes are shown correct as checkboxes and allows selection and deselection of any checkbox but the grouped ones are getting converted to radio buttons and doesn't allow deselection.
I am using ng2-pdf-viewer version 10.4.0 which is latest.
