Applying the "date taken" sort order actually applies "last modified" order.
version 6.28.1
LineageOS 21 on Pixel 5

I also have a problem with sorting according to "Date taken". But it is not sorting according to "last modified" either. In fact I can't find any system to how it is sorting. When I load the same folder in F-Stop gallery the exact same files get sorted in the correct order.
I've tried deleting both app cache and data.
This is really annoying as the dates associated with the files have changed and do not represent a correct chronology.
Other than that, it is a really nice app!

Simple Gallery version 6.28.1
Galaxy A35 Android 14 One UI 6.1
