I think it's a version specific bug. Rolling back to v9.0.42... fixed it for me. Can't know for sure until a future version comes out.

It seems so. 9.0.44.471 empty playlists, 9.0.42.529 works ok.

Edit: all versions broke...

I tried to rollback to 9.0.42.529, too, but at first attempt the patched version didn't work.
So I retried, but previously clearing ReVanced Manager app data; it worked.
I'm not currently using Spotify because I have a TIDAL subscription.
Instead, I'm actually doing a favor to some friends of mine.
In fact, the issue occurs with their accounts, and not with mine (that's working perfectly, even with the above 9.0.44.471).
Lesson learned; next time I'll try if patching works but obviously NOT with my account...!

Can't know for sure. Anyways this issue should be renamed and kept open as there's a chance that more can appear as Spotify doesn't have an app version restriction.

Maybe add version constrains to Unlock premium until the issue is figured out.

For me, 9.0.44 works just fine. I tried for a while but couldn't replicate this. A friend of mine has it on an old version (38 I think). Should not be dependent on the app version.

Agreed. After I ran into this, my playlists were empty even on the web interface. Eventually it resolved itself after a day or two. At the suggestion of a user on the discord, I logged in via a VPN, changed my location to the VPN country, and then reverted. Can't say if it had any real impact though.

A little update: my friend told me that even 9.0.42.529 stopped working, in this exact moment (almost all playlists empty; in those containing songs, if I click on one of them, playback doesn't start).
The problem also occurs on my smartphone, if I log in with the aforementioned friend's account.

If this caused by account specific, maybe Spotify rolling out A/B test to the selected account. Same YouTube/Google behaviour. Only can be fixed by using another account or by registering new account.
Or, make another patch like Spoof audio streams or whatever it named (like Spoof video streams on YouTube) to bypass it. But in this case, Spoof package info should handle it. Does it needs to be refactored, no?

FYI, I upgraded the app to latest 9.0.44.478 (source: APKMirror).
Now is working.
I'm using the same v9.0.42.529 empty playlists account:

Based on this and having the same issue, I uninstalled and patched the new version 9.0.44.478, and it is also now working for me.

Edit: My previous version was 9.0.42.529. Used same account with both versions.

Chiming in as well, for me previous version were broken, some older one till 9.0.44.477 is broken, 9.0.44.478 from today is working again.
