Put simply the world does not display any blocks below the y level 0 in the more recent updates

doesn't the way to test seem obvious? just load a world after 1.17

the fix is simple: zardoy/minecraft-web-client@91b73ba

Still broken in 1.21.1. Blocks don't render below y level 0. The fix proposed by @zardoy does not resolve it.

Easy to reproduce on superflat worlds. For context I am working on vision for mindcraft agents, would be nice if it were fixed.

The fix proposed by @zardoy does not resolve it.

It consists of two commits not one. You need also modify worldrenderer so it goes from -64 not 0
