This would be very much appreciated. The current custom method is long winded, and to start, I couldn't get custom icons to display.
I run dashy in an LXC, and I placed my icon to /opt/dashy/user-data/item-icons, but when setting icon: my_icon.png as per the docs:
For example, if my icon was stored in /app/user-data/item-icons/maltrail.png, then I would just set icon: maltrail.png. it would not display. Turns out the leading icon: is not needed, or certainly not in my case - unless I just misread the docs! 😅 but they certainly seem to read as needing the leading icon:
In any case, being able to upload via the web UI would be amazing. :)
Thanks so much @Lissy93 for your hard work on Dashy (and your other projects!)
Edit: Actually, I just used favicon to pull in the image from a site and it too didn't need icon: was this used in a previous version perhaps?
Edit2: It's just been pointed out to me by a colleague that the icon: part is if you edit the YAML directly! Makes sense now ;) he referenced this issue: #748
