Love the project, have been using it for quite a while now.

I needed to download the FW for a few 2531 sticks and noticed that the link in the wiki is currently dead. Just a FYI. I'd open a PR to get it fixed, when i realized two things:

  1. the wiki is a separate repo and not just mark down files? I don't know how to edit the wiki, (where are the PRs sent?) otherwise i would update the link

  2. I actually don't know what "changed" in the newer firmware / what the difference is. I did a bit of searching, but It's not clear to me what "changed" in the new firmware, which leads me to my related questions:

  • What changes (if any) are there in the coordinator/CC2531/bin/ZNP*.zip files. E.G. The most recent commit has a zip file with 20181024 in the name, but a hex file with a modified date of 10-28. What's up with that? Additionally, what's changed in this file from, say, the earlier builds released in (i think, april?)

  • If i am using an earlier version of the CC2531 firmware, what do i gain by flashing the new version?

  • is there anything other than the 44/1 limits in the CC2531/alternatives/max_devices/bin/ version of the firmware?

Thanks for your time / this project. It's been lovely to use the cheap Xaomi devices with these cheap sticks!

  1. Since 1.0.0 the documentation has been moved to https://koenkk.github.io/zigbee2mqtt/
  2. Changes of the new firmware: Optimize firmwares for larger networks #533

@Koenkk thanks. I'm not currently in a position to re-pair most of my devices to an updated firmware / nor do i need a larger network, but i will be changing that soon. Once i deploy my 2531 sticks with the updated FW, i'll post my observations in #533 .

I'll close this out :).
