If you enable SourceLink, you can actually step through all the asserting code from anywhere.

Ah, good, I think I referenced the nuget but maybe dumbed the setup. Will PR so you can review, unless you feel like writing the PR of course.

I have build scripts that automatically inject this kind of stuff into all of my projects:

It's dynamic because it requires a commit id, etc.
