The new vehicle aisle has a storage capacity of 100L, compared to the not changed floor trunk with only 87.5L.

Solution you would like.

Increase floor trunk storage capacity, or reduce aisle storage capacity.

Isn't a floor trunk like what you keep a spare tire in under the trunk? Those spaces are not as large as the open space above a walkway...

It is more of a gameplay balance thing. Normal aisle used to not being able to store things (Last I Played 0.H candidates), and floor trunks are the alternative and function just like the aisle where you are required to craft or find and offer storage capabilities.

On experimental, the aisle now store 100L by defaut, while floor trunk remained the same 87.5L. This made floor trunk obsolete, despite requiring more effort to craft and find, than the aisle which is basically free to install (only need 1 sheet metal and wielding materials).

That's not a valid rationale. The question is does it have the right capacity fit the thing is representing, and does the recipe reflect reality.

The preferred solution is to reduce the aisle's capacity. They were increased when cargo capacity was (wrongly) used to determine moveable space in a vehicle. It should be reverted to the previous value.
