Are there plans for Jukebox mode?

I love the app. I find myself having to use other apps for when I want to use jukebox mode though. And those app are not nearly as well made as Amperfy. Have there been discussions in the past about adding Jukebox mode controls to the app? Is it something even worth considering?

Hi, thanks for the request. To be honest I wasn’t aware of this feature. If I understand it correct you request that Amperfy should be able to control the playback on the server. So basically that Amperfy is a kind of remote control for the server. Is that correct?

Yep thats exactly right. To ilustrate here is a basic flow of my current setup (acheived with apps that support jukebox mode)
"remote" -> server -> amp -> speakers

Just came across the same question, and would love to control Navidrome directly on a server with Amperfy essentially being a remote control. The server itself is connected to Hi-Res DAC via USB.

Hi,
This feature requires some refactoring and introduction a new middleware. Currently the player UI is directly connected to the iOS player. Here a new middleware is needed to change the receiver from iOS player to jukebox API. An implementation in short term is not planned.
