I would say it is in a more normal state now... what was happening before was madness :) |

This project is getting massive, to the point where imo it is becoming unreasonable for a single person to manage all the PRs, reported issues, and the like. Automatic has been grinding super hard the past several weeks, but it's not like this is paying the bills, so it's only natural that he'd have to step back for a bit. Although, calling it "stepping back" seems overly dramatic because like @hd-x said, having only a few hours a day to manage an open source project is much more typical. And I wouldn't say it started right after the NovelAI stuff. He's been grinding almost daily until a few days ago. For the project to continue at the same pace, I think more people will need to be given permission to merge things, at least in a separate branch. The scale of the project is growing too much for just a single maintainer. |

i think that we all have gotten used to the insane speed that AUTOMATIC1111 has been working this past few weeks. when you are used to seeing an avg of 10-15 commits per day (one time i logged in and there were over 40 in a 24hr period), its easy to see no commits for over 24hrs and wonder. and we all need to fucking knock it off. for fucks sake, auto1111 is a person, a human being just like the rest of us. prob has a day job, and adult responsibilities and all the normal shit that comes with normal life. this kneejerk reaction conspiracy bullshit needs to get buried. its not constructive, and has no redeeming value. what we need to be doing, as a community, is fucking helping the man. hes provided us with tools that are far above what anyone offers out there right now, and not asked for a single goddamn cent. someone posted a few weeks ago urging him to open a donation link or something, and he declined, saying that bringing money into the equation didnt feel right to him. W so if he wont take money, then LETS HELP HIM. donate your time, your intelligence, skill, resources if he will accept it. take some of the load off of him, and the "SPICE WILL FLOW" AKA, the commits. ppl need to stop making comments about the pile of pull requests and tickets and start HELPING. cause if he burns out, the we will have lost a valuable contributor to our open source community. and i would hate to see him go. |

my dudes, I am surprised Automatic seems to be a human and not an artificial intelligence. I think it's time the community here pulls it together and finds a way to send some funds his way. Sir automatic if you are listening please open a Patreon account I will be the first to join. We want you full-time here I hoping am not the only one thinking about this. |

From AUTOMATIC1111: Contact"I have been keeping up with SD less lately, which means I am more likely to miss new models. Found here: Contact |

I have observed a lack of commits in the recent days and a lot less interactions from Automatic1111. What is going on? This kind of started after the NovelAI debacle.
PR are accumulating faster than they get merged...
